Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Women Affairs Visits the Sultan
Political leaders have been called upon to fear Allah while dealing with the public, because all their responsibilities rest on their shoulders.
Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III made the call when the Ministers of Humanitarian and Disaster Management Hajiya Sadiya Umar and that of Women Affairs Mrs Paulin Tallen paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs is in the state to donate relief materials to victims of flood while that of Women Affairs is in Sokoto to further advocate the education of the girl child.
The Sultan, who appreciated both ministers for their visit, traced the history of female education to the daughter of Sheik Usman bin Fodio, Nana Asma'u.
In their separate remarks, the two ministers, Sadiya Umar and Mrs Paulen Tallen, said they were in the palace to seek for royal blessings and thereafter, proceeded to hand over relief materials to the Government of Sokoto State for onward distribution to victims.
The ministers would also flag-off rural women cash grant programme, a Federal Government's intervention.
